Official Visit to XUAR

On December 5, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Serik Zhumangarin, met in Urumqi with Ma Xingrui, Secretary of the Communist Party of China for the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR). During the meeting, the participants discussed current issues of cooperation and prospects for intensifying collaboration.

XUAR is Kazakhstan's largest trading partner among all regions of China, accounting for almost half of the bilateral trade turnover between Kazakhstan and China. Last year, the volume of foreign trade with XUAR increased by 62%, reaching $20.3 billion. In the first nine months of 2024, trade turnover between Kazakhstan and XUAR grew by 22.46%, reaching $17.67 billion.

The delegation included the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TechnoGroupService LLP, Mominbayev Zh.B., who signed an agreement with the Chinese energy engineering corporation Sieyuan on cooperation in the production of industrial energy storage systems in Kazakhstan at the SEZ "PIT Alatau" in Almaty.
