LONGi and TGS have concluded a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation

On June 13, 2024, LONGi and TGS signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation, aimed at strengthening partnership and joint implementation of renewable energy projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the SNEC exhibition in Shanghai.

The memorandum provides for the implementation of projects in the field of renewable energy sources, including engineering support for the production and testing of solar modules at the plant «PIT «Alatau», technologies of «green» hydrogen technologies, and more. TGS agreed to use LONGi’s silicon plates and indicate «Powered by LONGi» on photovoltaic modules to demonstrate their quality.

The signing of the Memorandum marks an important stage in the development of domestic power engineering in the renewable energy sector, It Targeted the production of photovoltaic modules of the TopCon type in volumes up to 150 MW per year with the prospect of further export of manufactured products to the Central Asian countries.

Photovoltaic Module Production Plant

"TechnoGroupService" LLP has begun constructing a photovoltaic module production plant at the SEZ "PIT Alatau" site. The plant will have a capacity of 50 MW of PV modules per year, with commissioning planned for November of this year.

On May 27, 2024, the construction site of the future plant was visited by a team from "Physical-Technical Institute" LLP led by Director O.K. Elemesov., the Chairman of the Board of "Almaty Business Development Company" LLP A.B. Ramazan., as well as representatives from "Almaty Finance" LLP and SEZ "PIT Alatau".

The plant considers the use of domestic materials, which will increase the level of localization of produced products. It is also planned to organize an in-house laboratory to test the quality of the products produced. The visit underscored the interest of scientific and financial organizations in supporting projects focused on the production of equipment for the renewable energy sector and a sustainable energy future.

Meeting of the Industrial Committee of the School of Materials Science and Green Technologies at KBTU

On May 24, the regular meeting of the Industrial Committee of the School of Materials Science and Green Technologies (SMaGT) was held at the Kazakhstan-British Technical University. The Head of SMaGT, N.B. Beisenkhanov, and the Chairman of the Industrial Committee, Zh.B. Mominbayev, invited potential employers to discuss issues related to student employment and practical training.

One of the key topics of the meeting was the organization of industrial and pre-diploma internships for SMaGT students. Representatives of TechnoGroupService LLP discussed the relevance of the curriculum in terms of employer needs. Zh.B. Mominbayev also shared plans for the construction of a photovoltaic module manufacturing plant in the Alatau IT Park Special Economic Zone.

As part of the visit, representatives of TechnoGroupService LLP presented reports on photovoltaic module testing and solar power plant design standards. Opportunities for student internships at the company's Physical-Technical Institute LLP were also discussed, providing students with a chance to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and expand their experience in the energy sector.
